About this work

A working draft, in the open.

UNNATURAL is a book written in public. The chapters are drafts. The framing shifts week to week. Nothing here is a final claim.

What it is

One working answer to the child's question what are we? It argues that we are natural beings who slipped into the information realm and now loop it back through the physical world that made us.

The argument runs in three movements. Act I locates the floor of life in wanting, not thinking. Act II (init.d) argues that a finite observer cannot meet a fractal, chaotic universe whole, so distinction is how living things boot up inside the excess. Act III names the growth loop (Measure, Model, Manifest) and traces it from a single cell to a civilisation.

The site is the working surface. The wiki is the compiled residue.

Method

The frame is unscientific empirical. Unscientific because it refuses to wait for lab equipment to catch up before talking about will, distinction, meaning, or growth. Empirical because every claim is meant to be checkable against a reader's own life, and revisable when it is not.

Three commitments run through every chapter. Mark what we observe. Mark what we interpret. Mark what we don't yet know.
